The shelter warmly welcomes women and their children (both male and female) who have unfortunately become victims of abuse. The age criterion for victims is 18 and above, and children under 18 years old can be accommodated only when accompanied by their mothers. We extend our support to victims of various forms of abuse, including sexual offenses such as rape, incest, and sexual harassment, as well as those who have experienced hate victimization or have been affected by natural and manmade disasters.
Access to our shelter is facilitated through multiple referral options. You may obtain a referral from
the Police Station,
the Department of Social Development, or
a professional member or Victim Support through the Police Station is another avenue for assistance.
Upon securing a referral through any of these channels, our dedicated Staff will conduct a preliminary assessment and provide guidance accordingly. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this process, ensuring a seamless experience for all parties involved. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Our 18-bed short-term shelter is dedicated to providing immediate safety and support for survivors of abuse and their children. Within our shelter, individuals can expect a secure and nurturing environment, fostering healing and progress towards liberation from domestic violence.
As a 24-hour accessible facility, we offer four bedrooms for women and their children. The shelter features communal living, dining, bathroom, and recreation areas, as well as private spaces for staff to meet with residents. Residents actively participate in shared responsibilities, including cooking and cleaning, and are encouraged to engage in group sessions throughout the week.
During their stay, our compassionate staff is committed to addressing a diverse range of needs. This includes providing counseling, medical care, assistance with practical concerns such as food, clothing, and medical needs, as well as childcare support. We also offer prevention programs and basic soft skill training to empower survivors on their journey.
